The list of frozen Russian real estate assets in France can continue to be accessible to everyone online. In an order issued this Thursday, June 9, in summary proceedings, which Le Parisien was able to consult, the Council of State rejected the request of Russian oligarch Alexey Kuzmichev to suspend the publication of the list of frozen assets, established by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
“The publication of this list is useful, it aims to raise awareness among all intermediaries – lawyers, real estate agents, and notaries – and to facilitate the identification of listed assets to prevent their sale, rental, or the transfer of shares of companies holding them,” recalls Mr. Julien Martinet, founding lawyer of Swift Litigation. The objective is for this list to be known by these professionals so that they can verify that the property they are asked to sell or transfer shares of, for example, is not on this list.”
